Voting by Mail:

To get a mail-in ballot, go to the Maryland State Board of Elections Mail-in Ballot Request page.

The deadline to ask for a mail-in ballot depends on how you want to get your ballot:

If you want to get your ballot through the mail or by fax, your application must be received (not just mailed) by 8pm on Tuesday 10/29/24 via mail request OR by 11:59pm on Tuesday 10/29/24, via email/fax request.

If you want to get your ballot via the internet, your application must be received by 5pm on Friday 11/1/24 via mail request OR by 11:59pm on Friday 11/1/24 via email/fax request.

If you hand deliver your application and the ballots are ready, you can pick up your ballot at the Carroll County Board of Elections office by 8pm on Tuesday 11/5/24 (General election day).

All Mail-in Ballot Drop Boxes and Polling Locations close at 8pm on Tuesday 11/5/24.
Timeline to receive mail-in ballots:

Deadline for the local boards to receive a ballot placed in ballot drop box or election judges to receive a ballot at a voting location: 8pm Tuesday November 5th.

Deadline for the local boards to receive absentee ballots by mail: 10am Friday November 15th, provided there is a proper postmark or date on voter's oath.
